Imperio LXXIV is among Decanter’s 51 “Wines of the Year 2021”

Let’s start 2022 with some excellent news!

The technical jury of the prestigious international wine magazine Decanter listed Imperio LXXIV 2019 of Feudo Croce by Tinazzi, Primitivo di Manduria DOP, as one of the 51 best wines in the world 2021.

In addition, it is also the only Primitivo part of the list representing Italy together with other 12 wines from the peninsula.

In 2021 Imperio 2019 was already awarded a “Gold Medal” by Decanter with 95 points. For this reason, it was selected among the wines that most impressed the judges and made part of a new blind tasting session to find “the best of the best” to be shortlisted as “Wines Of The Year 2021”.

The characteristics of our Imperio won over the trio of judges – Michelle Cherutti-Kowal assigned it 97 points, Matt Walls assigned 94 points and Stefan Neumann assigned 95 points.

This was the technical judgment of the critics of Imperio LXXIV by Feudo Croce: Intense aroma of aromatic lavender, dill, stewed raspberries, and blackberries. Spicy on the palate, with good balance and energy. Very accessible and easy-drinking, with a persistent finish of fennel.

“It’s a very important recognition that fills us with pride and joy and gives value to the work we have carried out over the years to obtain wines of an increasing quality and character that can represent good Italian wine all over the world,” reported Giorgio Tinazzi, sales manager of the Tinazzi group.

Once again, Imperio 2019 confirms itself as one of our leading wines.

This prize is in addition to the numerous national and international awards collected in 2021:
