Lugana Ca’de’Rocchi 2019 was awarded 92 points by Vinitaly’s 5StarWines – the Book guide, 2021 edition.
5StarWines – the Book is the annual selection of wines organised by Veronafiere usually before Vinitaly and, this year, it has reached its fourth edition. A jury of highly qualified professionals tastes the wines and awards them marks out of a hundred.
In 2020, the 5StarWines format was redeveloped to comply with the new health and safety provisions in place to counter COVID-19. Once made anonymous by the Team, the wine samples were shipped to the international judges selected, who tasted them while on a videoconference from their country of origin. Wines were marked via a dedicated WebApp coordinated and supervised by the judges and Team in Verona. Over 2,000 samples were assessed during this fourth “agile edition” and 847 were selected to be part of the 5StarWines – the Book guide.
Lugana Dop Ca’de’Rocchi 2019 is a white wine obtained from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes, grown in particularly suited vineyards south of Lake Garda. Intense aroma of citrus and exotic fruit with slight floral notes. Fresh, soft and well-balanced palate. Ideal as an aperitif or paired off with appetizers, light first courses and fish. Lugana is part of the innovative Ca’de’Rocchi range, characterised by soft aromas and flavours and destined for younger and international palates.
The Tinazzi winery has been taking part in the 5StarWines – the Book selection for years: last year, Amarone della Valpolicella Docg “La Bastìa” 2015 and Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Dop “Monterè” 2016 were awarded 90 and 91 points respectively.
