Not only wine but also solidarity and now an archaeological site! The Tinazzi family has become a supporter of Archeoclub d’Italia, a non-profit organization in Carosino, following the discovery of an archaeological site on the land where the family built its new San Giorgio – Noble Wines of Salento cellar. The Superintendence for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape authorized the Carosino Archeoclub to clean and survey the archaeological site. Architect Angelo Campo, the president of Carosino’s Archeoclub, was given the task of making hypotheses on its dating: “the small necropolis and a small cave found probably date back to the early Middle Ages”.
The wish of the Tinazzi family is loud and clear: to redevelop the place starting from its history.
