With summer at our doorstep, bringing with it the wish to drink fresh and aromatic wines, some news has arrived from Falstaff that makes us proud: our rosé wines from the Veneto and Puglia scored 90 points at the Rosé Trophy Italien 2022 competition.
The famous Falstaff magazine, a point of reference in the world of wine for German-speaking countries, announced the best rosé wines which include our four labels, thus rewarding the research and hard work carried out over the years to reach higher quality levels.
Rosé has become an increasingly transversal and deseasonalized wine: it can be enjoyed as an aperitif or during meals, so not only paired with fish.
Here are the wines rewarded:
- Campo delle Rose, Chiaretto di Bardolino DOP 2021 – Ca’de Rocchi: 90 points
This rosé wine is obtained from Corvina (70%), Rondinella (10%) and Molinara (20%) grapes. It boasts a wide aroma, floral and fruity with notes of strawberry, raspberry and cherry. Recommended with light starters, fish, white meat, risotto and seafood pasta, but it also works well with flavourful dishes thanks to the excellent acidity.
- Amarosé, Negroamaro Rosato Salento IGP 2021 – Feudo Croce: 90 points
Light pink colour with a persistent note of cherry and pomegranate and delicate floral hints. Fresh wine that can be served as an aperitif or paired with starters, seafood dishes, shellfish and pizza.
- Kleio, Negroamaro Rosato Salento IGP 2021 – San Giorgio: 90 points
Wide aroma of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry and delicate floral hints of rose. Recommended as an aperitif or served with summer dishes and grilled fish. Also perfect with a classic Apulian frisella.
- Sentieri Infiniti, Negroamaro Rosato Salento IGP 2021 – San Giorgio: 90 points
Aroma of cherry and pomegranate in addition to delicate floral hints. Fresh, round and harmonious on the palate with a lingering fruity finish. Perfect as an aperitif or with starters, grilled fish and sushi.
